According to Car News China, the brand-new 2018 Volvo XC40 will debut at the Shanghai Auto Show in April. It will be positioned below the Volvo XC60 crossover.

In terms of design, the XC40 will be similar to the 40.1 and 40.2 concept cars revealed last year in Gothenburg, Sweden. The exterior styling will be revised a little, but certain elements such as the front fascia and the L-shaped tail lights will remain the same.

On the inside, the 2018 Volvo XC40 will feature latest technologies like a large infotainment display along with elegant styling cues including a wooden trim and chrome accent.

An additional 2.0L four cylinder turbo engine and a hybrid unit are also expected to be optional. It will be a front-wheel drive, but customers can also opt for the all-wheel drive variant at an extra cost.
