Last Saturday, Herbert Motorsport team took the winner’s trophy for the 12th series of 24H Dubai Race powered by Hankook. The winning Porsche 991 GT3 R was driven by Daniel Allemann, Ralf Bohn, Robert Renauer, Alfred Renauer and Brendon Hartley covering a total of 578 laps of the 5.39km Grand Prix Circuit. Manthey Racing secured second place after remaining two laps down from the Herbert Motorsport Porsche. Winning thrice in the past Dubai races, the Black Falcon team strived for the lead, but came third with a record of fastest lap time of the race.

Hankook 24H Dubai race is known for trimming the race course as hours pass by. Out of 92 cars that started, only 65 made their way to the end. Many teams faced car crashes that led to their retirement. Manthey Racing car also got involved in a collision and lost the chase after Herbert Motorsport car. In general, Herbert Motorsport Porsche was in forefront for 380 laps.

Hartley was keen on having the Porsche experience and his first victory in a GT car. The 24H race brought much excitement to him. This also marked as the greatest achievement for Robert Renauer who drove the winning Porsche across the chequered flag.

Hankook 24H Series 2017 also attracted renowned personalities like Marcel Fassler, a three time champion of 24H Le Mans and former Formula 1 stars Jean Eric Vergne and Robert Kubica.
