Last year at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show, Infiniti previewed the QX Sport Inspiration Concept, which was an SUV sporting an exceptional design. Now the new Infiniti QX50 concept has been revealed at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show sharing some design cues with the Inspiration concept.
The Infiniti QX50 concept boasts a phenomenal sporty design. This new look is termed by the automaker as ‘Powerful Elegance’. On the inside, the cabin looks luxurious with leather seats and wooden elements used on the front dash. The dash controls are ergonomically designed and angled toward the driver for ease. The center stack features a large touch display with navigation system and other information related to the vehicle’s ProPilot driver assist feature.
The ProPilot self-driving technology of Infiniti QX50 will act more as a driving assist feature rather than offering self-driving capabilities.
Under the hood, the Infiniti QX50 concept carries a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine, which is capable of supplying 268 horsepower and 288 pound-feet of torque. This engine offers compression ratio between 8:1 and 14:1.
Infiniti has not mentioned when the new QX50 will make its debut, but we expect it to launch sometime later this year or early 2018.
