The 2017 Toyota Prius C receives some new updates including extra safety features, more standard features and some minor exterior changes.
It will now feature the Toyota Safety Sense C as standard, which includes active safety technologies such as Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Automatic High Beam (AHB) and more. The pre-collision system makes use of a camera and radar to detect the objects ahead. It fully activates when the vehicle reaches 7 mph and remains active up to 85 mph.
In terms of design, the 2017 Toyota Prius C boasts a new front bumper design, a plastic trim covering the rocker panels and rear bumpers and a black colored roof mounted spoiler. The alloy wheels will now be standard in all the trim levels.
No powertrain changes have been made. The 2017 Prius C will still be powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a small electric motor. The fuel efficiency rating stands at 53/46/50 mpg city/Hwy/combined.
It is available in four trim levels namely One, Two, Three, and Four. The standard interior features include an Entune audio system, 6.1-inch touch display, Bluetooth connectivity, AUX input, USB port and a four speaker sound system.
The automaker has not yet revealed the pricing details.
