3- Anti-lock Brakes:
This system is also helpful in providing traction, as it prevents skidding. Every wheel has a sensor connected to a computer to prevent wheel lock-up. A total of three valves are involved in the brake line of each brake which open, block and release pressure. Normally, hard braking would stop the wheel from turning, but it is impossible for the driver to turn as the car skids. The ABS controller allows the driver to maintain control while braking, so that the car could be steered around an object. The system works automatically; you just have to press hard on the pedal and let the system do its job. Traction control and Antilock Brake System also work simultaneously in some cars.
