The Tesla S P100 D has already been the world’s fastest sedan currently on sale, thanks to the incredible Ludicrous Mode, which allows the Model S to go from 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds. However, recently, the automaker has launched a new software tweak which helps the electric sedan to go even faster. This update is named as Ludicrous Plus. According to Elon Musk’s tweet, with the Ludicrous Plus mode, the Model S will be capable of sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.4 seconds.
Drag Times recently launched a video demonstrating how the Tesla S P100D Ludicrous Plus mode can be activated. Besides a power boost of 33 horsepower, the new update also increases the battery temperature to 122 degrees F (50 degrees C). Drag Times tested the Model S with the Ludicrous Plus mode and managed to hit the 60 mph mark in just 2.46 seconds.
Although this performance rating sounds pretty impressive, but Tesla still faces serious competition from the rival company, Faraday Future who recently tested its FF 91. It was able to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.39 seconds.
