The German automaker on Monday at the Detroit Auto Show revealed a new SUV concept dubbed as the Audi Q8, which is currently in the production phase. The production model for the Audi Q8 concept was recently spied somewhere in the snow. It has a lot of similarities with the concept previewed in Detroit.

Talking about the design, upfront the Audi Q8 concept boasts a wider singleframe grille with more vertical detailing. Other exterior components such as wide C-pillar are similar to the Audi Quattro sports car from 1980s.

The overall length of the Audi Q8 concept measures 16.5 feet, while the wheelbase measures 10 ft ensuring ample amount of interior space to seat four passengers. Moreover, the cabin offers high-end equipment including an advanced infotainment system, heads-up display, digital instrument cluster and more.

Under the hood, the Q8 concept is powered by a plug-in hybrid system producing 442 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. This powertrain will allow the SUV to go from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.4 seconds. The hybrid system combines a 3.0L V6 unit with an electric motor. It also features a 17.9-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery, which offers a range of up to 37 miles.

The Audi Q8 is expected to arrive sometime in 2019.
