The North America International Auto Show is kicking off from January 8th and reports suggest that the German automaker will unveil the refreshed Mercedes-Benz GLA Class at the show.

Motor1 recently published spy shots of the car, which depict it will receive only small design changes. The refreshed model will look somewhat similar to the CLA-Class, which also rides on the same platform as the GLA.

On the inside, only minor updates are expected, such as, an upgraded infotainment system and new color combos for the upholstery. In the current GLA class, adaptive dampers are available as an option, but they will be made a standard feature in the refreshed model.

No powertrain enhancements are assumed in the refreshed Mercedes-Benz GLA class. The base model would carry a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, while the range-topping AMG GLA45 will generate 375 horsepower.

It is not clear when would we see the next-generation GLA class in the market, but rumors suggest it would make its debut in 2019 and a coupe variant would also join the lineup.
