Subaru has always been a highly sought after brand in the US, and with the new Subaru Viziv-7 concept, the automaker is looking to dominate the SUV segment too.
The Subaru Viziv-7 concept SUV was unveiled at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show, where the automaker mentioned it will compete with the likes of Volkswagen Atlas once it arrives in the market. Talking about the size, the Subaru Viziv-7 is 204.7 inches long, 79.9 inches wide, and 72 inches tall. It is a seven-seater SUV with ample space for passengers and storage.
According to Takeshi Tachimori, corporate executive vice president, Fuji Heavy Industries, LTD, the Viziv-7 will be the largest Subaru Vehicle ever built.
A spokesperson from Subaru confirmed that the Viziv-7 concept is equipped with a Subaru Boxer engine featuring a four-wheel drive system. However, we do not have any word regarding the powertrain or the performance statistics. Also, the name ‘Viziv-7’ is not permanent, as the automaker will decide a new name prior to the launch.
The Subaru Viziv-7 is expected to go on sale sometime in 2018. The pricing details have not been announced by the automaker yet.
