On 5th December 2016, Honda Motor Co. Africa and Middle East announced the launch of the 2017 Honda Civic equipped with a newly developed 1.6L engine available in DX and LX grades. The 2016 Honda Civic which was launched in April 2016 featuring a 2.0L and a 1.5L turbo unit has performed really well in the market with 86% increase in sales. With the launch of the 2017 Honda Civic 1.6L, the automaker wishes to add cherry to the pie augmenting the sales further and attracting more customers.
Talking about the exterior styling, the 2017 Honda Civic 1.6L is similar to the 2016 model with standard features including LED daytime running lights, C-shaped LED tail lights, LED turn signals and 16-inch alloy wheels.
On the inside, it offers automatic air conditioning system, power steering with mounted Bluetooth controls, 5-inch touch display, USB support and more.
Under the hood, the new Civic retains a 1.6L SOHC i-VTEC engine which pumps out 123 horsepower and 151 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a new CVT gearbox having a taller final gear ratio and better fuel efficiency rated at 18.4 km/L for the DX and LX grades.
Moreover, the 1.6L Civic has a range of advanced active safety facilities including ABS with EBD, hill start assist, tire pressure monitoring system and emergency stop signal. It is available at all Honda dealerships across GCC, Lebanon and Jordan. The price of 1.6L Civic starts at AED 67,900.
