To celebrate its 50th anniversary in the Japanese market, the Italian luxury automaker has unveiled the new limited edition Ferrari J50 roadster. It is built on the bones of Ferrari 488 Spider, featuring a removable targa hard top.
Under the hood, the limited edition Ferrari J50 roadster carries a 3.9L turbocharged V8 engine similar to the one found in the 488 Spider. The powertrain generates 660 horsepower and 560 pound-feet of torque. It will be capable of 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds with a top speed of 325 km/h.
On the outside, the Ferrari J50 roadster sports low-slung bodywork and sporty character lines all over the car, to give it a phenomenal look. Ferrari employed a number of carbon fiber elements to keep the overall body weight low and improve the aerodynamics.
The interior includes beautiful red and black colored seats to match the overall persona of the Ferrari J50.
The Ferrari J50 roadster is built by the Ferrari Special Projects team and will be sold in limited numbers. Moreover, each car will be custom built according to the customer’s need. The automaker has not revealed the pricing details yet.
