The Spanish automobile manufacturer SEAT, a subsidiary of the Volkswagen group, recently revealed a new and more enhanced version of the Leon Cupra hatchback. The 2017 Seat Leon Cupra now features an updated powertrain as well as some latest technologies.

Under the hood, the 2017 Seat Leon Cupra houses a turbocharged 2.0L four cylinder engine that churns out 300 horsepower and 280 lb.-ft of torque. It comes with a standard front-wheel drive configuration, while the more powerful ST Wagon variant benefits from all-wheel drive system.

On the inside, the 2017 Seat Leon Cupra has a new 8-inch touch display with wireless phone charging facility. It seems the automaker is adopting more and more features from its parent company, Volkswagen.

Moreover, it also includes latest and advanced safety facilities, such as, traffic jam assist system, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, pedestrian protection system, electronic parking brake, key-less ignition system and more.

Both the regular model and the ST variant boast the dynamic chassis control (DCC) technology similar to the Golf. The automaker is yet to reveal more information regarding the powertrain and performance statistics. However, we do know that this is in fact the most powerful Cupra model ever built.

It is currently on sale in Europe, while the deliveries will start in February next year.
