The police all over Emirates have introduced a set of rules that all citizens must abide by for car decoration on the National Day. According to commander of Sharjah Police, over-decoration will be inspected thoroughly, as it can conceal the car’s number plate and hinder safe driving.
The police have deployed patrols in the celebration areas all across the country to ensure the safety of common public. Changing the original color of the car or over-decorating it with flags or pictures is not allowed. Over enthusiastic parents will be punished if their children are found sitting on the car roof. Significant fines will be imposed on those who’ll tint their car’s front window.
Moreover, any youngster found over speeding will be penalized in addition to facing confiscation of their vehicles. Police will set up mobile radars to catch those who drive carelessly, putting everybody on the road at risk.
Residents using color sprays or other banned substances on the National Day will face serious punishment and heavy fines.
Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, director general of traffic department advised citizens to avoid car decoration that can disturb the vision of others on the road. He further added no one is allowed to stand on top of their cars or use banners that can block vision.
