A few days back, Volkswagen released a teaser video of the new Volkswagen CC and also revealed that it will be titled as ‘Arteaon’. And now we have seen the 2018 Volkswagen Arteon CC prototype on the roads and it definitely looks a lot more attractive than its predecessor.

A year back at the 2015 Geneva Auto Show, the automaker gave us a pretty good hint about the 2018 Volkswagen Arteon CC when it previewed the ‘Sport Coupe GTE concept’. It adopts a unique design, which makes it different and distinctive compared to the Volkswagen Passat, with which the Volkswagen CC shares its platform.

The Arteon will ride on the MQB platform, which will be stretched to a length of 190 inches. It will boast a wheelbase length of 119 inches for more storage and interior space.

The powertrain will also be similar to the VW Passat, which means we can expect a turbocharged 4-cylinder unit in the base model, while the range-topping might feature a hybrid engine.

The 2018 Volkswagen Arteon CC will make its debut in March 2017 at the Geneva Auto Show.
