The 2018 KIA GT Stinger was first revealed by the automaker at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show. A few months back, it was caught test driving somewhere, but we couldn’t find much about the exterior, as it was heavily camouflaged.

However, recently, the 2018 KIA GT Stinger has been spotted again hiding in an undisclosed location without any disguise. The sloping roofline, sharp head lamps and aggressive front fascia give an overall sporty feel to the GT Stinger.

The 2018 KIA Stinger GT rides on the same platform as the Genesis G70, which is currently under development. It is expected to carry a turbo-charged V6 engine paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, which will yield up to 365 horsepower. An in-line 4-cylinder engine and a hybrid unit will also arrive sometime later.

Additionally, it is not clear yet if the sports-sedan will be labeled as ‘Stinger’ in the international markets or not. In KIA’s home market, Korea, it will be called ‘K8’ sitting between the KIA 7 Cadenza and K9 (K900).

Reportedly, the price tag can be somewhere between $32,000 and $50,000, and it will compete with the likes of Audi A5 Sportback and BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe.
