More than 1,600 paid parking slots have been made available to people who come to see Dubai Canal in the Business Bay and Safa regions. You can now park under the Shaikh Zayed Road Bridge and enjoy a stroll on the Boardwalk, thanks to the efforts of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). You can even ride the waters on a ferry or a water taxi.
In addition to these, 322 parking slots have also been opened up around the code A area near Dubai Water Canal.
According to the CEO of Traffic and Roads Agency at RTA, Maitha Bin Adai, the seasonal parking cards will not be applicable in the code G areas. However, you can park using the seasonal parking cards in the regions bearing code A around the canal.
Maitha further mentioned that parking slots are very important to facilitate the visitors coming to the Dubai Water Canal for amusement.
Shaikh Zayed Bridge is the most ideal place to pull over and enjoy some quality time watching or riding the waters with your friends and family.
You can access the ferries from both sides of the Canal – Dubai Canal marine station near Jumeirah Beach Park and Al Jaddaf marine station near Creek metro station. Water taxis reach you on request from 10am to 10pm.
