The previous spy shots of the 2019 Toyota Supra showed us the vehicle completely disguised , therefore, it was difficult to judge its exterior design. Now, the new Supra prototype has been caught again, testing somewhere in Europe with considerably less amount of camouflage.
Talking about the front fascia of the 2019 Toyota Supra, it looks similar to the Toyota FT-1 concept with sharp head lights and aggressive bumper. Toward the rear, the tail lights and the decklid are also inspired by the FT-1 concept. The side mirrors look pretty similar to the BMW 3-Series F30.
For those who don’t know, the 2019 Toyota Supra will be built in collaboration with BMW. The German automaker will also introduce a similar model, which will be dubbed as the ‘BMW Z5’.
The automaker has not revealed any information regarding the powertrain, but we expect the base model to carry a turbocharged, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The higher trims might feature a 3.0L six cylinder hybrid engine capable of producing up to 450 horsepower.
The 2019 Toyota Supra will be launched as a coupe model only and the price tag will be somewhere around $60,000.
