For all those who were wishing for an open-top variant of the Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2, rejoice as the automaker has finally revealed the convertible Huracan LP 580-2 at the 2016 LA Auto Show and it looks absolutely fantastic.
The Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2 adopts the soft-top roof from LP 610-4 Spyder and looks a lot similar to the LP 580-2 coupe model. However, there is a slight change in the naming convention; the convertible LP 580-2 is actually titled as “Huracán Rear-Wheel Drive Spyder”. It is equipped with a 5.2-liter V-10 engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that produces 572 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque.
With this powertrain, the Huracán Rear-Wheel Drive Spyder will be capable of going from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in just 3.6 seconds, while the top speed is 198 mph (318.65 km/h).
The soft-top roof takes 17 seconds to open or close and works up to a speed of 31 mph. The overall weight of the car stands at 3,326 pounds. The automaker has not yet announced the pricing details for the Huracán Rear-Wheel Drive Spyder, but we expect it to cost above the LP 580-2 ($199,800).
