The 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio has finally made its public debut at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show. It is aimed to rival the likes of BMW X3 M, Jaguar F-Pace SVR and Mercedes AMG GLC63.
The 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio is a rear-wheel drive SUV, which rides on the Giorgio platform. The Giorgio architecture keeps the overall weight of the vehicle fairly low and features a low center of gravity as well as enhanced chassis technology.
The Quadrifolgio edition is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V-6 engine, which is also found in the Giulia Quadrifolgio. The V6 unit is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox to spawn up to 505 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. With this powertrain, the 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifolgio will be capable of going from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 177 mph.
The standard Stelvio will extend a turbo-charged 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that supplies 280 horsepower and 305 lb.-ft of torque.
On the inside, the 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio features two rotary controllers; one for driving mode selector and the other for controlling the infotainment system.
It is expected to hit the dealerships sometime in mid 2017. We cannot say anything for sure when this will reach UAE.
