The new Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet is set to debut at the Los Angeles Auto show on 16th November 2016. However, the automaker has released a teaser image and a video to give us a glimpse of what the open-top luxury car would look like.
The 2017 Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet features an extended wheelbase and some opulent interior amenities including exclusive leather stitched seats with heating/cooling function and a remarkable in-dash multimedia system with a 1,540 watt, 24-speaker Burmeister stereo. The rear seating compartment will have an electrical charging socket, cup holder which will keep your coffee warm, comfortable seats with massage option and a little fridge to keep your wine bottles chilled.
It is expected to carry a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 engine, which is currently running in the S65 AMG models. The V12 paired to a seven-speed automatic transmission system will offer a power output of around 620.8 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque. However, the main focus of the Mercedes-Maybach S650 is toward luxury, not a phenomenal performance.
Just for the record, the range-topping AMG S-Class Convertible costs $247,900, so the Maybach variant will definitely be priced above that.
