Just a week ago, Ford Motor Company announced the arrival of the new 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor and now the automaker has started taking orders. The official configurator website received more than 90,000 hits in a week and a lot of customers have also deposited the advance payment for their 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor.
One of the dealerships in Las Vegas is alone handling 300 deliveries. The dealership stated that they are receiving 2 to 3 calls in a day and they are also turning away some customers due to the limited supply of the truck.
The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor carries a 3.5L twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. The automaker decided to ditch the V8 engine and adopt a new EcoBoost V6 powertrain as it offers a higher power output. Moreover, the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is 500 pounds (226.7 kg) lighter compared to its predecessor and is more fuel efficient.
The Ford Raptor has a good market position in the Middle East and we can expect the new 2017 Raptor to arrive in the region by the end of this year or at the start of 2017. Ford also revealed that the Raptor will be priced below $50,000 (approximately AED 184,000).
