You might have seen some rare cars being auctioned and sold at a high price, but nothing beats this 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLR Stirling Moss, which is now up for sale and costs more than a Bugatti Chiron.
The Mercedes-Benz SLR Stirling Moss models were built between June and December 2009 and only standard SLR models were allowed to buy it. The automaker built only 75 examples of the Mercedes-Benz Stirling Moss and they were all sold to the respective customers for a price of $800,000.
If you were not lucky to buy one, now is the time you could get your hands on one of these beautiful roadsters. However, you must have about $3 million in your bank account.
The SLR Stirling Moss edition carries a supercharged 5.5L V8 engine, which churns out approximately 650 horsepower and has a top speed of 217 miles. It is a rear-wheel drive vehicle and the engine is paired with a five-speed automatic gearbox, which allows this rare SLR to go from 0 to 62 mph (0 – 100 km/h) in less than 3.5 seconds. The body kit makes a generous use of carbon fiber for a spectacular aerodynamic performance.
The official listing of the vehicle can be found on Auto Scout 24.
