The 2016 SEMA Auto Show has kicked off and the automakers present at the show are showcasing some of their finest automobiles. Ford Motor Company appeared on the scene with its latest Ford Mustang GT4 sports car, which competes with the likes of Aston Martin Vantage, McLaren 570S and Porsche Cayman.
The Ford Mustang GT4 is a sports car aimed toward regular customers rather than professional racing teams, unlike the Ford Shelby GT350R-C. The Mustang GT-4 carries a spectacular 5.2L V8 engine, which is also present in the Shelby GT350 models. Although Ford has not mentioned the power output, yet we can expect it to produce around 526 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain is mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox. Other enhancements include a rear spoiler, upgraded dampers, lower rear control arms and a stabilizer bar tuned exclusively for the GT4.
On the inside, the Ford Mustang GT4 includes a sports-car inspired interior with a roll-cage and sporty seats.
Other than the sports car, Ford also introduced its new Ford Performance App, which allows drivers to easily track their performance statistics. It will be first available in Ford GT models.
