The 2016 SEMA Auto Show has kicked off today (2nd November, 2016), and we have already seen some amazing cars making their debuts. The new Lexus LC 500 prototype, designed by Gordon Ting and Beyond Marketing, has also been unveiled by the automaker.
The Lexus LC 500 is the modified version of the 2018 Lexus LC Coupe, which made its debut earlier this year. The standard LC Coupe packs a 5.0L naturally aspirated V8 engine capable of producing 471 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. However, the new Lexus LC 500 carries a 5.6L V8 unit good for 525 horsepower.
Additionally, the engineers have increased the cylinder bore of the V8 from 94 mm to 99.5 mm, and have also replaced the standard pistons with more upgraded ones for a better performance.
The design of the new Lexus LC 500 was inspired from the 2017 Lexus LC Super GT racer, which was revealed in August, 2016. It sports an upgraded body kit, with custom fender flares, enhanced front and rear diffusers, revised side skirts and an aggressive rear wing. On the inside, the new Lexus LC 500 boasts sporty racing seats.
The 2018 Lexus LC Coupe is scheduled to arrive at the dealerships in spring 2017.The customized components available in the Lexus LC 500 will be on sale once the LC coupe hits the showrooms.
