Mazda has just revealed teaser images of its new 2018 Mazda CX-5 crossover, which is scheduled to launch at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 16th.
Just a few weeks back, the 2018 Mazda CX-5 was caught test driving in camouflage. The teaser images show that the CX-5 will feature a dark and sporty persona. The automaker has not revealed much yet, but did mention that the 2018 CX-5 crossover will feature the new ‘Kodo – Soul of Motion’ design direction and some advanced interior facilities.
Besides an updated exterior, the 2018 Mazda CX-5 will also boast a redesigned interior with a host of new technologies.
The existing Mazda CX-5 is equipped with 2.0- and 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engines, which produce 155 hp and 184 hp respectively. Rumors suggest that the 2018 Mazda CX-5 crossover might carry a 2.5L turbo-charged engine capable of producing 250 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft of torque.
In addition, a report from Motoring Crunch tells that Mazda is turning the CX-5 into a premium model and it will be priced higher than the previous models.
More information will be disclosed as the LA auto show kicks off next month.
