The 2017 Honda Civic Type-R prototype made its debut in Paris earlier this year, and now it will be on display at the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The Honda’s display at the SEMA auto show is called ‘Civicpalooza’ and it will feature nine optimized and custom built Civic models including sedans, hatchbacks and coupes.

The 2017 Honda Civic Type-R sports a muscular body kit and enhanced exterior elements for a spectacular aerodynamic efficiency. The front fascia incorporates a large carbon fiber splitter and red accent lines along with a red colored Honda badge. The smoked LED head lamps, carbon fiber side skirts, air scoops and a triple exhaust system give the 2017 Honda Civic Type-R concept a unique aggressive persona.

Under the hood, the 2017 Honda Civic Type-R concept will carry a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol VTEC engine which will produce up to 305 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. Honda claims the Type-R will be capable of hitting the 100 km/h mark in just 5.7 seconds, while the top speed will be capped at 270 km/h.

Besides the 2017 Honda Civic Type-R, the automaker will also introduce the latest Ridgeline trucks at the 2016 SEMA Show.
