We recently shared about the new Mercedes pickup truck test driving somewhere and revealed that it will make its debut very soon. However, the name of the truck was a mystery. But not anymore, the German automaker has finally raised the curtains off its new Mercedes X-Class mid-size pickup truck, which is probably going to arrive at the dealerships sometime next year.
The new Mercedes X-Class was showcased at an art gallery in Stockholm. It is based on the latest Nissan NP300 Navara pickup and will be built at the Nissan’s factory in Spain and Argentina. The X-Class will fulfill the requirements of those consumers who require luxury in a tough pickup truck.
It is equipped with a turbo-charged V6 diesel engine and features a double-cabin body. Moreover, the X-Class pickup truck also features a live rear axle with spring dampers for spectacular on-road and off-road performance.
In terms of design, the Mercedes X-Class boasts a paint-job similar to the Mercedes SLS AMG and is fitted with blacked-out wheels.
Initially, Mercedes plans to introduce the X-Class in South American, European and Australian markets. We might see it soon in the Middle East too.
The pricing details have not been revealed.
