After eight successful events in Europe, Asia and North America, the Lamborghini Super Trofeo racing series is now coming to Middle East, says Lamborghini officials.
The Lamborghini Super Trofeo racing series will be held between February and March 2017 in the Middle East. Since it will be an inaugural season, the series will consist of only three double rounds. The first round will take place from February 9th to 11th at Yas Marina Circuit. The second round will be held at Dubai Autodrome between February 16th and 18th. The final round will also happen in Dubai between March 2nd and March 4th, but on a different track.
The specific dates for each round have been chosen particularly to make sure that the event does not clash with any other Motor Racing event in the Middle East.
The racing format is similar to other Middle Eastern racing events. There will be two 60-minute free practice sessions, followed by two 20 minutes qualifying sessions and two 50-minute races.
The Lamborghini Squadra Corse will provide support to the participating teams and will also handle the logistics of the event. More information will be uncovered in the coming months.
