The UAE government is putting millions of dollars in the development of a train called Hyperloop that will be capable of traveling to Fujairah from Dubai in just 10 minutes. With reference to UAE’s future transportation, the engineers in Dubai shared their views with 7Days. They believe flying cars is a possibility in the near future.
Mohamed Watfa, the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Wollongong in Dubai believes it will not be long before you see the first flying motorbike in Dubai.
He mentions flying cars are a safer means of transportation and Dubai’s infrastructure is feasible for such mode of conveyance.
An aircraft engineer, Hamad Ismail thinks that hover cars will be the first step toward manufacturing flying cars.
According to Ismail, as hover cars will have less altitude as compared to flying cars, it will be good for a safe start.
Incredible inventions in the field of transportation have already been made in Dubai. Just last month, the EZ10 driverless vehicles were launched in Downtown Dubai.
Not far behind is Masdar City in Abu Dhabi that also has driverless cars known as Personal Rapid Transit.
