The 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF Launch Edition was first unveiled at the 2016 New York International Auto Show and it is now up for pre-orders.
The 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF Launch Edition is based on the regular MX-5 Miata’s Sport Touring trim and will be available in Machine Gray Metallic body paint. The interior will feature an Auburn Nappa leather trim along with a black coloured roof panel. Buyers will also get a custom-made serialized 42mm Torneau watch on ordering a Mazda MX-5 Miata RF Launch Edition.
Only 100 units of the MX-5 Miata RF Launch Edition will be built worldwide and it will be available in both Skyactiv-MT six-speed manual system and a six-speed automatic gearbox. The manual variant will start at $34,685 (including $835 freight charges), while the model with automatic gearbox is priced at $35,760. Deliveries will begin sometime in spring next year.
The 2016 Mazda MX-5 25th Anniversary edition sold out within 10 minutes when it was launched in 2014, so we can expect the Launch Edition to sell out pretty quickly too.
