The Korean automaker will be showcasing a Hyundai RN30 concept car based on the new Hyundai i30 at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. The motorsport inspired concept car has been developed with the input of World Rally Championship team.
The Hyundai RN30 concept car is a sporty looking hatchback and the first offering from the Hyundai N performance division. It will probably replace the Elantra GT and is expected to compete with the likes of Ford Focus ST and VW Golf GTI. The car will probably carry a turbocharged 2.0-litre inline-4 cylinder engine.
Talking about i30, it has been undergoing testing at Nurburgring and several spy shots had been released before Hyundai officially released photos earlier this month. Power comes from a 1.4 litre T-GDi turbocharged petrol motor delivering 140 PS and 242 NM of torque coupled with a 6 or 7-speed transmission. Other powertrains include a 1.4 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.0 litre T-GDi 3-cylinder turbo petrol and a 1.6 litre diesel.
