This thing is sure to make you stand out in the crowd. We have already come across myriad number of small enterprises planning to create super car, but this one is quite different. The ride has made it to the commercial launch and it is the first titanium bodied super car ever to be produced.

Icona Vulcano made the debut of the titanium bodied version at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elégance last year. This September, the ride will be hitting the Salon Privé Concours d’Elégance in England. Icona has dubbed the ride has a hyper car, but we find that only thing hyper about it is the price. You must have deep pockets to afford the car as it costs about $2.78 million (€2.5 million).

Under the hood, Icona Vulcano is equipped with a supercharged 6.2 litre V8 C6 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 engine pumping out a power of 670 horses and 605 pound feet of torque hooked up to a single clutch based transmission. The first titanium bodied super car can ramp from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and according to Icona, it has a Nürburgring’s Nordschleife circuit lap time of 7 minutes and 20 seconds.

The interior is pretty decent with 12.3-inch configurable display, another screen replacing the traditional gauge cluster, a carbon fibre racing seat and air conditioning which are now run of the mill stuff for super cars.

Sadly, the only thing outstanding other than the price is the ride’s titanium body.
