Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is set to launch an Integrated Mobility Platform (IMP) that will enable people to access all mass transit systems through a single booking and payment app.

Director General and Chairman of Board of Executive Directors of RTA, Mattar Al Tayer said that the Integrated Mobility Platform will enable people to access all mass transit systems using a single application. Nol is a common fare system that is already available for metros, trams and buses, but private limousine services, Monorail in Palm Jumeirah, Uber and Careem and Dubai Trolley have their own private booking and payment systems.

RTA has announced that the merger of Nol and other private transport services across Dubai is undergoing some important changes.

The Integrated Mobility Platform is a system that integrates all private and RTA mass transit modes in Dubai with limo services and taxi booking. People will be able to avail mobility options and plan their road trips via a single application.

According to Adel Shakeri, Director of Transportation Technology, RTA, they want to give the best and the safest transport service to people. They will not compromise on security.

The project is set to complete in 2017.
