Kawasaki Concours-1400 bikes have become the latest addition to the highly enviable selection of power vehicles in the Dubai Police Fleet.

The bikes are very popular in the US, for their speed and maneuverability, and feature a special police kit and several high-grade techie gadgets. This addition brings the number of Kawasaki Concours-1400 bikes in the Dubai Police Fleet to 29.

The handover ceremony was conducted at the Dubai Police General Headquarters of Transport and Rescue. In attendance were representatives from Liberty Automobiles, the exclusive distributors for Kawasaki in the UAE along with high officials from the Transport and Rescue Department.

Mr. Ravi Nair, Brand Manager at Liberty Automobiles, expressed his hope that the new bikes will enable more efficient patrolling in congested streets. He said that the Kawasaki Concours bike is favoured by law enforcement agencies in several countries for its high-performance, rider control and balance.

The Kawasaki Concourse-1400 features a 4-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and a rigid monocoque frame that allows for a high level of agility. The bike also features Advanced Coactive braking Technology and an electronically adjusted windshield.

The Dubai Police Fleet also include high-powered cars like the Brabus G 200, Audi R8 V10, McLaren MP4-12C, Nissan GT-R, Mercedes Benz SLS-AMG, Bugatti Veyron, Aston Martin One-77, Lamborghini Avantador, Ferrari FF and BMW i8.
