Acura has recently announced the starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $31,900 for its 2017 Acura TLX. The $920 destination charges will be added on to the starting price. The updated Acura TLX price is about $200 more expensive than that of the last year’s model. The sales were initiated on July 16, 2016.

Three new exterior colours including San Marino Red, Modern Steel Metallic and Lunar Silver Metallic have been introduced by the manufacturer for the new model. The Fathom Blue Pearl and San Marino Red exterior shades will be available with an optional ebony black interior.

The 2017 Acura TLX will give you a choice between two direct injected high output i-VTEC engines and two advanced transmissions including an 8 speed dual clutch transmission and a 9-speed automatic transmission. Acura did not make any changes in the powertrain.

The standard option is a 2.4 litre Inline 4-cylinder engine capable of producing 206 horsepower and 180 pound feet of torque coupled with an eight speed dual transmission. More powerful 3.5 litre V6 engine generating 290 horsepower and a torque of 267 pound feet hooked up to a 9 speed automatic transmission is also available.

The starting price of 2017 Acura TLX 3.5L is $36,270. If you opt for the SH-AWD, then it will cost you $43,440 including the technology package.

It still remains to be seen whether the new model can recuperate the already declining sales of this Acura variant.
