The 2016 Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato concept was first unveiled on May 2016 at the Concorsod’Eleganza Villa d’Este and now the automaker has confirmed that the luxurious coupe is going into the production mode.
The Vanquish Zagato is the fifth vehicle built with the joint efforts of British automaker Aston Martin and the Italian coachbuilder Zagato. The 2016 Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato will feature a lightweight aluminium chassis and a carbon fibre body to reduce the overall weight of the car.
The prominent exterior elements will include bladed LED lights, retractable spoiler and the Zagato’s exclusive double-bubble roof.
On the inside too, the Vanquish Zagato will feature carbon fibre trim and leather seats with ‘Z’ logo embossed on the headrest, armrest and doors.
In the powertrain department, the 2016 Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato will boast a 5.9-litre V-12 engine which will deliver 592 horsepower (24 horsepower more than the regular Vanquish). Mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, the Vanquish Zagato will be capable of going from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.8 seconds.
It will arrive at the dealerships early next year and only 99 units will be built worldwide.
