Following the diesel emission scandal, Volkswagen Group has decided to change its strategy for the upcoming years. According to ‘The new Together – Strategy 2025’, we would be seeing more of Volkswagen electric cars by the end of the decade.

The new Together – Strategy 2025 focuses more on sustainability and increasing vehicle efficiency while maximizing the profits, whereas the previous strategy aimed at improving the company’s sales charts.

Regarding Volkswagen electric cars, we do not have many details. The automaker revealed a Budd-e concept car at CES this year and we believe that the VW electric hatchbacks would probably use the same modular platform founded in Budd-e concept. Volkswagen group is also collaborating with Audi to produce Q6 e-Tron electric SUV as well as Porsche in launching their Mission E electric sports car.

Volkswagen will also work on to improve its autonomous car technology, mobility service and battery production as a part of the new strategy.

More information will soon be revealed by the automaker.
