The 2017 Mazda CX-3 compact crossover has been awarded with the Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety owing to its impressive body kit and high end safety features.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) did not reveal specific information but we know that in order to earn the Top Safety Pick+ award, the vehicle must score “Good” rating in all five collision tests which include small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint evaluations.

On the inside, the CX-3 boasts a MAZDA CONNECT™, a seven-inch infotainment display with navigation system and Bluetooth hands-free capability.

The standard safety features include Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA), Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS), Active Driving Display pop-up head-up display, and DRLs.

The 2017 Mazda CX-3 is scheduled to arrive at dealerships in July with a starting price of $19,960.
