The German luxury automaker has introduced the latest 2017 Audi A5 and S5 coupe at an event held in the company’s headquarters in INGOLSTADT, Germany.
Talking about the exterior updates, both the 2017 Audi A5 and S5 coupes look pretty similar to the outgoing models with only a few minor changes in front headlamps and body dimensions. The overall weight will be reduced by around 60 kilograms (132.3 lb) compared to the previous models for greater aerodynamic efficiency.
The interior also features some enhancements and becomes more spacious with an increase in the wheelbase length. The front dash design remains the same and features an 8.3-inch infotainment display which can be controlled via the rotary pushbutton and a touchpad.
The powertrain in the US version of 2017 Audi A5 coupe will be a 2.0-litre TFSI four-cylinder that will generate 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft torque, while the S5 coupe would carry a new turbocharged V6 engine capable of generating 354 horsepower and 368.8 lb-ft torque.
Both 2017 Audi A5 and S5 coupes will go on sale towards the end of the year and pricing details will be revealed in the coming months.
