A few months back, we saw a tour video of Honda’s Performance Manufacturing Centre in Marysville, Ohio where the most anticipated 2017 Acura NSX was to be built. Now the automaker has finally announced that the first production model of the Acura NSX is ready and in fact it has already been sold to the first customer, Nascarteam owner Rick Handpick, for $1.2 million.

The original cost to build the 2017 Acura NSX was $156,000, but since it was an exclusive first production model, the Acura NSX fetched a bid price of $1.2 million at an auction event held in January. Acura will donate the amount Camp Southern Ground and Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.

The 2017 Acura NSX is equipped with a 3.0L twin turbo-charged V6 engine mated to a 9-speed dual clutch transmission system that produces 573 horsepower and 476-lb.ft of torque.
