Two electric cars with solar power supply and recharging units will be set up near the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa) headquarters for its use. The announcement of two electric cars was made by Eng Dr Rashid Al Leem during the Project Management Congress Week held from May 8 to 12 at the Radisson Blu Hotel Sharjah.
Dr Al Leem speaking at the press conference said that due to the new global and economic downtrend, Emirates will soon feature solar power supplies, street lights and recharging machines to become an environment friendly city. He also advised the company executives and participating managers to work towards becoming a global shaper and history maker.
The 8th Congress edition was attended by a large number of people from government, business and academia. The congress main goal was to discuss the project management challenges faced by the corporate sector. Other relevant topics such as behaviour management, value management, and technological advancement were also conferred.
Top professionals from Siemens and GE, the Dubai Council for Marine and Maritime Industries, Salford University UK, Rochester Institute of Technology, Dubai and American University of Sharjah were the noticeable speakers at the congress.
Sewa has shaped up successfully under the capable chairmanship of Dr Al Leem.
