The new 2019 Audi RS 5 luxury coupe has been caught by spy photographers on a test drive. Though it looks very similar to the Audi S5 prototype, but the additional intakes and enhanced wheel arches suggest it is in fact the new 2019 Audi RS 5.
The outgoing model retains a naturally-aspirated 4.2-litre V-8 engine that produces up to 450 horsepower. Reportedely, the 2019 Audi RS 5 will be driven by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V-6 which is also found in the Porsche Panamera S. The new turbocharged engine will be capable of generating over 450 horsepower. It will be an all-wheel drive with a dual clutch unit.
Since the Audi RS 5 will feature Volkswagen Group’s new MLB evo platform, it will help in reducing the overall weight of the car, consequently improving the performance and aerodynamics.
The new Audi RS 5 is expected to be unveiled sometime in 2017 with deliveries starting in 2018.
