The EZ10 driverless cars make their way to Dubai this week at the second Mena Transport Congress and Exhibition. The box shaped vehicles will carry organisers between sites on specific routes, adjusting up to 10 people at once. The automobiles boast a highly efficient sensor system in addition to a number of safety features found in conventional vehicles.

Depending on the trial’s successful outcome, the EZ10 driverless cars may as well be made an integral part of tourist spots including the Expo 2020 site to ease overcrowding. The autonomous cars will also play an important role in shaping up the Emirate as a Smart City. These automobiles are built by a French company, EasyMile in partnership with Robosoft and Ligier Group.

The driverless cars are already a significant part of the development of Masdar city in Abu Dhabi and are a rage world over these days. Tesla has also announced a new autopilot system to reduce accident rates by half.
