Showcased at the Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition first time, the specifically-modified Corvette has been included in the Dubai Civil Defence fleet to reach at the fire scenes in a record time. The car has been modified by experts at a Dubai workshop and features fire extinguishers, hydraulic and first-aid equipment. Best suited for highway fire-fighting, the modified corvette can go as fast as 300 km/h (we are talking about the standard version) making it world’s fastest fire-fighting vehicle.

Dubai Civil Defence has been working hard to prevent fire accidents by providing people fire-prevention awareness through drills and educational campaigns. This is the reason, we see less accidents in the neighbourhood now.

In addition, Dubai Civil Defence ‘s operations room is connected to all buildings in Dubai to keep an eye on alarm systems and provide quick fire-fighting services. The department is also planning to introduce 49 e-services.

During Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition, the department also highlighted the fire erupted in Address Hotel on New Year’s Eve and educated people how they controlled it.
