Joining the Fast and Furious 8 cast is the star of the Mad Max Fury, Charlize Theron. Sources say that the Oscar-winning actress will play a villain, working alongside the usual stars of the long running franchise. The details of the role are still unclear, however it is reported that Theron only accepted it after seeing the finished script for the movie. Chances are that she’ll be teaming up with a perennial F&F villain Deckard Shaw, played by Jason Statham.
The 8th installment of the action movie franchise is set to be directed by Gary Gray, who previously worked with the Australian actress on the remake of the Italian Job. Other cast members of the Fast and Furious 8 are Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson and Michelle Rodrguez. This will be the first movie in the series without star Paul Walker, who passed away in a terrible car crash in November 2013.
The movie will go into production in summer, 2016 and is set to release in April, 2017
