The Nissan Skyline has made a name for itself among the European fans as it has been given the title of the most iconic Japanese car by the Japfest followers, before the start of the Japanese car celebration.

The show organisers launched a survey on the social media asking the followers which Japanese sports car should be called as the most iconic ever made and the results titled Nissan Skyline as the winner. The second position was secured by the Toyota Supra and third by the Subaru Impreza WRX. It should be noted that the Nissan Skyline gained popularity in the U.K after it appeared in the Gran Turismo game in 1997.

To accommodate more visitors and cars, the Japfest show will be held in Silverstone, Northants this year. The last year’s show attracted more than 16,000 attendees and had 3,500 cars on display. The Silverstone venue will be able to house more visitors and allow even more sports cars to be displayed.
