To compete with its British and American rivals, the new and more luxurious BMW X7 has been announced by the German automaker. It will arrive in the market sometime in 2018.
The report was confirmed by BMW sales and marketing head Ian Robertson, who while talking to an online car news agency, said that the automaker has plans to launch a new BMW X7 with revised exterior styling and a four-seat arrangement cabin. He also added that the all-new extra plusher X7 will carry a price tag of more than $100k, while the standard model is a seven-seater that costs less than $100k.
A rumour spread out few days back hints that the X7 will be based on the Rolls Royce crossover, but I believe that is not true. In fact, Rolls Royce’s new SUV will be based on the BMW’s aluminium space frame, which is not shared by the X7.
Ian Robertson also revealed that a new BMW crossover is going to make its way into the North American markets, which I believe is going to look similar to the recently spied BMW X2 prototype.
