Ford Motor Company has introduced a special edition 2016 Ford F150 MVP to show their support for the Kansas City Royals baseball team. The official unveiling ceremony was held on March 29, 2016 at the automaker’s Kansas City Plant where the wraps were taken off by the baseball team’s legend Bret Saberhagen and the current superstar, Salvador Pérez.
The 2016 Ford F150 MVP is based on the Ford F-150 XLT trim level and wears a Blue or White exterior colour, which both are Kansas City Royals team colours. The production is limited to 300 units and 60 percent of the trucks would be in ‘Flame Blue’ paint, while the rest 40 percent are available in ‘Oxford White’ shade.
This is not the first time Ford has built a special edition truck for Royals team. Back in 1985, the special edition 1986 Ford Ranger was also built in honour of the world championship won buy the Royals.
