The 2016 Chevrolet Malibu hybrid is going to arrive at the dealerships this spring. Impressively, it will boast a combined EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 46 miles per gallon.
What’s even more amazing is that this EPA rating makes the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu hybrid stand out among its competitors such as 2016 Toyota Camry Hybrid (40-41 mpg), Hyundai Sonata Hybrid (42 mpg) and Ford Fusion Hybrid (42 mpg).
Talking about the vehicle, Steve Majoros, the marketing director of Chevrolet stated that the 2016 Malibu extends a number of advanced safety and connectivity technology features combined with a highly fuel efficient drive.
The powertrain installed in the 2016 Malibu hybrid is a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine assisted by two electric motors, both jointly create 182 horsepower. The motors are connected to a 1.5-kWh lithium-ion battery which stores energy.
The 2016 Chevrolet Malibu hybrid will start at $28,645 including destination charges.
