Last year, Volkswagen announced that the 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack will hit the dealerships sometime in 2016, but did not reveal more specifics. Now the automaker has confirmed that the 2017 VW Golf Alltrack will debut at the 2016 New York Auto Show and will go on sale during fall season.
Compared to the standard VW SportsWagen, the Golf Alltrack will come with an increased height of about 0.8 inches. It will be equipped with a 4Motion all-wheel-drive system for superior off-roading capability.
Under the hood, the 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack will carry a turbocharged 1.8-litre 4-cylinder engine paired with either 6-speed manual or 6-speed dual-clutch transmission and will be able to generate 170 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque.
The exterior design shows 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack featuring dual 5 spoke alloy wheels, honeycomb front grille and an elegant front bumper with fog lights. On the inside, there is a drive mode which can be used to optimize the drive according to the landscape.
More information will be revealed by the automaker on Wednesday, March 23.
